Climate adjustments in living areas

THE
CHALLENGE
In densely built-up urban areas, the expansion of green and blue infrastructure and adaptation to climate change are key challenges. At the same time, climate adaptation measures for real estate, especially in older buildings, require creative approaches to cope with heat and changing precipitation patterns and create a livable environment.

Solution approaches:
An optimal solution...
could provide innovative approaches such as vertical gardens or green roofs, taking into account the lack of space in high-density areas.
You have a start-up...
that deals with sustainable soil management, effective water management or measures to improve air quality?
A successful solution...
should take equal account of environmental aspects, social needs and urban design. Your answer can relate to entire neighborhoods as well as individual properties.
Your interdisciplinary approach...
should integrate green spaces socially, make them easily accessible and integrate them harmoniously into the urban fabric.
